HI! WE’RE FASHION REVOLUTION CANADA.

We are the Canadian branch of the global Fashion Revolution movement, which was founded in 2013 by a passionate group of U.K.-based consumers, brands, and other apparel industry stakeholders in reaction to the Rana Plaza factory collapse in Bangladesh.

Since then, Fashion Revolution has grown to become a worldwide community working year-round towards radically changing the way our clothes are sourced, produced and consumed. The goal: collaborating across the whole value chain — from farmer to factory to brand to consumer — to make that happen.

FASHION REVOLUTION WEEK

Fashion Revolution Week takes place at the end of every April, and is an exciting mix of online campaigns and IRL events and activations. In 2018, almost 275 million people worldwide engaged with Fashion Revolution Week by attending events, downloading campaign resources, and posting #whomademyclothes queries.

Last year, thousands of Canadians asked #whomademyclothes and participated in over 100 events country-wide. In response, industry leaders like Mountain Equipment Co-op and Yoga Jeans, as well as regional brands from Victoria to Halifax, provided unprecedented supply chain transparency with #imadeyourclothes photos and videos.

THIS YEAR’S FASHION REVOLUTION WEEK IS APRIL 22-28…

…and in addition to regional events and activations, we’re uniting all Canadians under a shared pledge: to ask your favourite brands #whomademyclothes, and - if you’re a brand - to set a single sustainability goal to achieve by Fashion Revolution Week 2020. Totally doable.

WE CALL PEOPLE IN, NOT OUT

Fashion Revolution is action-oriented and solution-focused. We help consumers and brands alike recognize that they have the power to create positive change. We know that guilt doesn’t create progress - community does.
